Pearcleaner is an open-source app cleaner inspired by Freemacsoft's AppCleaner and Sun Knudsen's Privacy Guides post on his app-cleaner script.

Pearcleaner Updater - Remove requirement for App Support folder, using temp directory now
Show no files left to remove text label if count is 0 (Should only show up sometimes when using Sentinel Monitor)
Pearcleaner uninstaller - fix race condition in some situations, might still be some lingering effects to fix
When moving apps to trash, use URL path instead of UUID as unique identifier
Fix app not opening center screen first time when no default window size/position is saved

Add permissions manager class to keep track of all permissions needed for the app to run smoothly

Although this is version 3.4.1, I had not seen or tried this one before, odd. I now use Trashme 3 and am very satisfied with it. I used Trashme and Pearcleaner side by side for a while and Trashme displayed more related files to delete in 9 out of 10 times. So not very good I guess. Pearcleaner's interface isn't really for me either. Seems more like a Windows 11 program . Of course that is something personal. It is free though. But unfortunately does not work properly compared to other uninstallers like Trashme.

Not a review, but more like a query. I have been using the excellent program AppCleaner to remove applications I no longer want nor need. Wondering how this one, which is inspired by Freemacsoft's AppCleaner, compares with AppCleaner (also free). There are times where AppCleaner does not find every file associated with a app I want to remove, but I have that issue resolved. I just launch another excellent free app called EasyFind to find those other files. Works like a charm!
